My orientation in martial arts began in the early 90's with Bruce Lee's Jun Fan Gung Fu. Soon after I was introduced to Jeet Kun Do under Sifu Lamar Davis. I immediately knew this was the style best suited for realistic self defense. I've based my journey in the world of martial combat on Bruce Lee's philosophy of "Research your own experience. Absorb what is useful, reject what is useless, add what is essentially your own." Throughout the years I continued expanding and growing, learning various martial art styles including shoot fighting, Aikido, Kajukenbo and Eskrima. I currently hold a second degree black belt and am a certified instructor in Estalilla Kabaroan under Grandmaster Ramiro Estalilla Jr. and phase one instructor in the legendary Paul Vunak's Progressive Fighting Sytems Contemporary Jeet Kun Do.

We're living in a violent world! Every day is anew with reports of all time highs of burglaries, carjackings, home invasions, racial and sexual assaults. Terrorism in all forms is on the rise and we need to be prepared to defend ourselves, families and neighbors. My passion is teaching practical self defense to ordinary people that have no prior martial arts or fight training with easy to learn tactics to avoid being victimized and survive a deadly ambush. Few people have years to dedicate to mastering difficult to learn, unwieldy techniques that would only fail them in a real life altercation or ambush. Paul Vunak's Progressive Fighting System, Rapid Assault Tactics based on the fundamental principles of Bruce Lee and Danny Inosanto's, Jeet Kun Do strikes right to the core of what is needed to answer these modern day assaults.
