Progressive Fighting Systems

Began my martial art journey in 1964 as an original student of Ed Parker, Sr. where I earned black belt rank in Kenpo Karate. It was during the period of the mid to late 60's, where I became acquainted with Sigung Bruce Lee, who was a frequent companion of Mr. Parker. During this period, Dan Inosanto and Larry Hartsell were heading up Mr. Parker's Santa Monica school. Despite my young age, I was fortunate enough to have been witness to the origination of Jeet Kune Do.
In 1973 I enlisted in the United States Air Force as a security forces and military police. Viet Nam was ending and I was exposed to Filipino Arts in Southeast Asia. My life has been devoted to the protection of others and to martial arts. I have been a licensed private investigator, and personal protection specialist serving high profile celebrities and political figures.
I currently live in Ashland Oregon and am the head instructor of Ashland Progressive Fighting Systems. I hold the rank of Senior Instructor under Sifu Paul Vunak and am a Senior Instructor in Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Grappling Assoc.
