Scott Gehring began his martial arts journey in 1989. Since then, he has trained in multiple martial art styles and has had the fortune to study under some of the greatest fighters of this generation. Scott holds formal rank in American Kenpo and Contemporary Jeet Kune Do. Paul Vunak’s influence has had a major impact on Scott’s progression throughout his martial arts career. Scott shares Paul’s passion for evolving static and lifeless technical movement into something alive, energetic and highly dynamic, thus giving people the confidence their moves actually work. Since working with Paul, the Contemporary Jeet Kune Do training methods have in effect super charged Scott’s prior skill base, taking it to new levels of speed, flow, effectiveness and overall devastation. For Scott, his experiences with Paul have been and honor and privilege; not just for the training, but to get to know the man behind one of the greatest martial arts legends.
